RIOT IN HOSPITAL
WOMEN PATIENTS BITE A POLICEMAN (Received December 27, 11.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, December 26. A riot occurred among 40 women patients in the psychopathic ward of the Bellevue Hospital. For an unexplained cause they tore the furniture and bedclothes to shreds, and bit a nurse and a policeman. The hospital’s chief psychiatrist quelled the patients.
