JAPANESE PARLIAMENT OPENED
> (Received December 27, 11.5 p.m.) TOKYO, December 26. In the usual formal speech of one sentence, the Emperor Hirohito opened the seventieth session of the Diet. It was his first official appearance in the new legislative palace. All members were in full evening dress. The diplomatic gallery was filled with brilliant uniforms. The Diet adjourned until January 21 after passing the customary address of loyalty.
