PERENNIAL WHEAT
♦ CANADIAN DEVELOPMENT (Received December 17, 11.15 p.m.) OTTAWA, December 26. It is announced that Dominion experimental farms have developed a perennial wheat. It is not expected to be ever suitable for bread, but may be valuable as a forage crop and restore the productive use oi large areas in drought-ravaged western Canada.
