DAILY NEWSPAPERS
SUBSCRIPTION DISCOUNT WITHDRAWN At a meeting of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association, held in Wellington, it was decided that the discount of threepence on the weekly subscription to the daily newspaper bo withdrawn from January 1, 1937. The alteration is due to the greatly increased costs of production in conjunction with an advance in the price of newsprint, which takes effect from the beginning of the year.
