COLLISION WITH TAXI (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, December 26. An engineer, John William Hogan, aged 30, whose car collided with a taxi on Christmas Eve, was arrested on a charge of being intoxicated in charge of a car. In the Magistrate’s Court, the police alleged that the accused’s car suddenly turned to the left into Union street on the wrong side and collided with a taxi, almost head-on. Both cars were extensively damaged. Hogan was fined £2O and he was disqualified from driving for 12 months, the magistrate remarking that
