ATTEMPTED SUICIDE ALLEGED

* MAN FACES FALSE PRETENCE CHARGES (PEESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, December 26. Charges of attempting to commit suicide on December 18 and obtaining £2O from Dorothy Willis by false pretences in Christchurch between March 23 and June 18, 1934, were preferred against Peter Bryce Cunningham, aged 33, in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. The police said that when a detective called in reference to the second charge the accused attempted to cut his throat with a razor. The accused was remanded till January 2 on bail of £IOO, and one surety. ___
