MODEL YACHTING
The Christchurch Model Yacht Club sailed two sweepstake races on Saturday at Victoria Lake, in place of the usual club races. Eight boats competed in a light north-easterly wind. Following were the results;— First Race—R. Reid’s Spalpeen (handicap, 3min) 1, R. C. Munro’s Dolphin (scr) 2, P. Smith’s Tui (2min) 3. Time, SOJmin. Second Race—Dolphin 1. W. S. Kingston’s Sans Atout (Imln 30sec) 2, Spalpeen 3. Time, 29isgc.
