TENDERS ACCEPTED BY CITY COUNCIL

The tender of N. McGillivray and Son, of £172, for repairs to the Coronation Hall, Spreydon, was accepted at a meeting last night of the Christchurch City Council. Others who tendered were:—Sharp Bros., £174; N. T. Webb, £176; V. J. Moir, Ltd., £189: J. Hammett and Sons, £l9B. For the erection of a sub-station in Ferry road, the tender of G. Head, of £327, was accepted. The other tender was that of N. T. Webb, of £329. The tender of the Vickery Electrical Company, Ltd., of £Bll, for aerial cable, was accepted, the other tenders being:—Enfield Cable Company, Ltd.. £813; Turnbull and Jones, Ltd., £820; Richardson McCabe and Company, Ltd.. £823; National Electric Company. Ltd., £831; Samuel Brown, Ltd., £853; British General Electric Company, Ltd., £867.
