TRAP SHOOTING

♦ CHRISTCHURCH GUN CLl'B'f CHRISTMAS MEETING A very successful Christmas snoot was conducted bv the Christchurch Gun Club on the grounds at Sockburn on Saturday afternoon. Conditions were very favourable. There were many visitors, including representatives from all the gun clubs in Norm Canterbury, and 37 shooters took part in the afternoon's programme, including the club patron and the first elected life members of the club. The programme consisted of four matches of nine clay birds each, off handicap marks. There were 12 prizes for each match. Conditions were that all possibles be shot off. but because of the large entrv this could be carried out only in the first match. Two special prizes. consisting of a large Christmas cake and a miniature cup, were awarded to the highest aggregate in the four matches. F. Truscott and D.
