BOARD ENDS NEGOTIATIONS WITH GOVERNMENT

The Southland Electric Power Board, at a meeting to-night, passed a resolution rescinding the resolution passed in March, in favour of a referendum of ratepayers on the question of handing over the board’s scheme to the Government; This means that the negotiations, as far as the board is concerned, for the handing over of the scheme are at an end.
