CASH REGISTER STOLEN
FOUND IN AVON RIVER A cash register stolen from the garage of the Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd., was discovered by a youth yesterday in the Avon river, near Fitzgerald avenue. The register had been forced open and £2O in cash removed.
Mr G. McPherson, the attendant at the garage, remembers serving a customer at 7.10 o’clock on Wednesday evening. He noticed that the register was gone at 7.20 o’clock, but saw no one take it.
