NEW BRIGHTON CLUB OFFICERS ELECTED FOR YEAR The retiring president (Mr C. E. Evans) presided at the twenty-third annual meeting of the New Brighton Bowling Club, held last evening. Members stood In silence In memory of two former members of the duo, Messrs T. Marriott and W. S. Carmalt. The anual report, previously published, and the balance-sheej, were adopted. The patron (Mr A. W. Owles) presented the prizes for the season. Officers were elected as follows: Patron, Mr A. W. Owles; president. Mr L. W. Besley; vice-presidents, Messrs J. E. Marriott and F. Jacobsen; honorary treasurer, Mr L. W. Hudson; honorary secretary, Mr L. Lawrence; committee, Messrs W. Drake. W. Watts, G. W. Bishop, P. Buist, and R. E. Holloway; delegate to centre, Mr F. D. Mulrson; selector, Mr Mulrson; match committee. Messrs G. W. Bishop and F. Barrett: honorary auditor. Mr C. T. Middleton; umpire, Mr F. Barrett; mid-week selector, Mr G. W. Bishop; house committee, Messrs W. Watts, J. Barter, C. F. Henry, S. Weston, and A. Cockle; entertainment committee, Messrs W. Larcombe, J. T. Bisman, F. D. Mulrson, P. Barrett, A. Cockle, S. Weston, and J. Barter; honorary reporters, Messrs L. W. Peppered and C. G. Evans. NEW ZEALANDERS WIN IN QUEENSLAND (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) BRISBANE, June 17. The New Zealand bowlers played Balmoral to-day. Parker’s rink won 26-16. Harrison, Higgott, and two Victorians won 20-14.
