FIRE IN BELLBIRD COLLIERY
♦ SEALING OFF DANGER AREA (Received March 16, 11.0 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 16. Fire has broken out at the Bellbird colliery in the Maitland district, and the men are now sealing off the danger area. A fire and an explosion in this colliery in 1923 caused the death of 21 miners.
