WAIMAKARIRI HARBOUR BOARD

SURVEY RECEIVED OF NORTH BANK OF RIVER

The Waimakariri Harbour Board met last night. Present: Dr. Maxwell Ramsay (chairman), Messrs R. F. Joyce, H. Rinaldi, J. Hirst, J. H. Healings, J. C. Simpson.: and H. O. Hills. Mr F. J. Hedges (Christchurch) , wrote offering the sum of £lO per annum for three years for the basket willows on-the board’s section fronting Charles street. The offer was-accepted for one year.

The secretary of the Kaiapoi Regatta Committee wrote applying for permission to use the north and south river frontages, near the main bridge,, on March 21, and the right to charge for entrance. The application was granted and a gift of £1 Is was made towards the regatta funds. The secretary of the Cure Boating: Club wrote asking permission to'erect a dressing shed and a stall oh the river front, opposite the public library, on the occasion of thp club’s river .carnival on February 22.' granted. The financial statement showed re- ' ceipts since last meeting totalling £ll4 14s lid. There was a debit bank balance of £2O 6s 7d.
