BRITISH OVERSEAS TRADE
PRELIMINARY RETURNS
(Received February 13, 8.10 p.m.) RUGBY, February 12. Preliminary returns of British overseas trade for January, issued by the Board of Trade, show that imports totalled £70,024,000, against £74,481,000 in December, £61,916,000 in January, 1935, and the monthly average for 1935 of £63,078,000. Exports totalled £ 34,460,000, against £34,017,000 in December, £35,481,000 in January, 1935, and the monthly average of £35,493,000. Re-exports totalled £ 4,320,000, against £5,432,000, £5,034,000, and £ 4,605,000 respectively.
