SHIPS TO BE TOWED TO JAPAN
CREW TO MAN KAWATIRI AT PORT CHALMERS
(Received February 13, 8.56 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 13. Not discouraged by the ill-fortune attending their attempts to tow the Maheno and the oil-tanker Vincas to Japan, five Japanese officers arrived at Sydney by the Kamo Maru with crews to man * the Kawatiri (now at Port Chalmers, New Zealand) and the Minderoo (at Portland, Victoria). They will pick up the Kawatiri and proceed to Portland for the Minderoo.
