THE PARLIAMENTARY CONFERENCE
NEW ZEALAND DELEGATES RETURN (PBXBtf 48B0CUTI08 TBLEOBAJI.I AUCKLAND. September 13. Three members of the New Zealand delegation to the conference in London of the Empire Parliamentary Association, Messrs H. G. Dickie, M.P. (Patea), W. A. Bodkin, M.P. (Central Otago). and C. M. Bothamley, clerk of Parliaments, returned by the Mataroa to-night from England. They have been away about four months. "The whole tour," said Mr Dickie, "was a wonderful and valuable experience, and showed our delegation that Great Britain has definitely ridden out the storm, that all her great industries are active, and that unemployment is decreasing. Enduring friendships have been formed between the members of the various delegations, and all have expressed the opinion that the great structure of the British Commonwealth of Nations must be maintained and strengthened in the interest of our modern civilisation." The Hon. Mark Fagan and Mr P. Eraser, M.P. (Wellington Central), the other members of the delegation, stayed another month and will be returning to New Zealand via Canada.
