An interesting collection of Melancsian and' Polynesian ethnographical specimens has been presented to the Auckland War Memorial Museum by Dr. Peter Buck. The gift, which will add materially to the collection already presented by both Dr. and Mrs Buck, includes a fine assortment of spears, bows, arrows and clubs. Dr. Buck has also given a number of valuable books on ethnology to the museum library.
