RELIEF WAGES

TO TUB BDITOB 0/ TBS PEH3B. Sir,—Kindly allow me space in your paper in support of the letter signed by "Justice." I yet 36s a week plus a 2s ration ticket, a total of 38s. Under the new rise in wages scheme, which starts on Monday, I should get 335, plus my 2s ration ticket, total 40s; but no, I received word to-day that my ration ticket has been cancelled, so with all the flare of trumpets by the Unemployment Board, about the better wages, it amounts to nothing short of gross misrepresentation. Even with the new scale of wages and ration ticket, it only equals the wages I got before the cut was made more than 12 months ago. I, like "Justice," would very much like to know the reason.—Yours, etc., RELIEF. January 26, 1935. »
