CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION v A meeting of the Canterbury Croijuet Ajt Bociation was held recently, Mr E. J. Kos* presiding. Applications for affiliation from the Leeston and Darfield Clubs were approved. Correspopdenoe was received from th* United Club requesting the association t<» circularise the clubs to ascertain it a mor» suitable date could be arranged next season for the tournament held at Christmas. It was decided that the various clubs b» asked to forward recommendations to the tournament committee. The secretary reported that the entries lor the Christmas tournament showed a satisfactory increase. Motions of sympathy were passed with Miss Gerard and Mr Chambers in recent bereavements OPAWA V/ ELM WOOD A junior A match was placed ou its Opawa green recently, Opawa winning br nine games.
