LUCKNOW SURVIVOR DIES

♦ FUNERAL WITH MILITARY HONOURS LUCKNOW, November 9. The death has occurred of Mr Frederick Lincoln, one of the few survivors of the seige of Lucknow. He was buried in the Residency cemetery, which is reserved for Indian Mutiny survivors. Mr Lincoln was given a funeral with full military honours. He was a well-known lawyer, born jii Lucknow in 1855. He was less than three years old when the Residency was besieged. His father was District Judge to Sitapur. Mr Lincoln's death leaves Mr A. G. Campagnac, of Calcutta, the only survivor of the Lucknow siege in India. Of eight others six are in England, one in British Columbia, and one, Sir Ralph Couper, in Australia.
