INCREASED REVENUE
TRAMWAY CASH TAKINGS A comparison of the cash takings on all lines of the Christchurch Tramways on seven days of carnival week—from Saturday to Friday —this year and last year shows an increase this year of £417. The total for the seven days this year was £5099, and for the corresponding period last wear £4682. On Friday, People's Day at the Metropolitan Show, the cash takings on all lines amounted to £1222 this year, and to £1057 last year, an increase this year of £165.
