The recommendations of the board were endorsed. In a fourth case, the board offered £5 to purchase clothing, and it was decided to ascertain what clothing was required In a fifth case, the board agreed to the extension of its grant of 10s a week for 12 months. The committee decided, in another case, to recommend the board to renew its grant for six months. Referring to the reception to blind persons during Sir lan Fraser's stay in Christchurch, the chairman said that it had been a brilliant success in every way. Mr Woods agreed, and said that more persons had attended it than usually attended similar functions.
