MEETING OF CHRISTCHURCH CLUB The mon I lily meeting of the Christchuixli Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Club was held last night, Mr G. 11. Bradford bein.H in the chair. There was a attendance. The New Zealand Utility Poultry Club advised that the annual inspection of the birds in the Papanui competitions would take place on November 10. Entry Fees and Prizes The committee set up lo go into tire matter of the amounts of entry fees anti prize money for the club's show recommended that poultry entry fees remain as at present, and a scale of prize money be drawn up so as to allow a profit of Is an entry for the club; that the bantam entry fees remain as at present, but that a scale cf prize money be drawn up to allow a profit for the club of 9d an entry; and that the entry fee for pigeons and canaries be Is (3d and a scale of prizemoney be drawn up so as to allow a profit to the club of 6d an entry. The secretary read the recommended scale of prize money, and this was adopted after it had been amended so that tho prize money should be reduced to the nearest sixpence below the amount in the scale. It was agreed that in an endeavour to improve the cats' section of the show, representations should be made to the three cat fanciers' clubs, asking them to meet the executive of the club on December 3. It was decided to arrange a meeting of the executive and representatives of the rabbit associations on the same night. It was reported that the members of the club interested in canaries had formed a club of their own, and would support the club's show.
