FUTURE OPERATIONS IN CANADA GOVERNMENT KNQI IKY IIKM) (Received October 2, 7.5 p.m.) WINNIPEG, October J. A Government investigation into operations in wheat futures, as requested by Mr John McFarland, chairman of the selling agency of the wheat pools, seeks the source of heavy selling of futures during recent weeks in face of reduced marketing and delivery by farmers. The "free press" hints at, "oversea..; skullduggery." and suspects attempts to corner wheat. Mr McFarland urges an investigation into the Buenos Aires and Liverpool futures markets.
