* MEETING OF ASSOCIATION The usual monthly meeting of the Spreydon Burgesses' Association was held last night, Mr P. Hennessy presiding over an attendance of about 25. The City Council, in reply to a complaint that the corner of Rosewarne and Selwyn streets was dangerous to teffic, advised that it was negotiating with the owner of the property for the purchase of the land, and in the meantime no repairs would be effected. ft was agreed to ask the council to set aside an area in the Spreydon Domain for use as a children's playground. One member stated that when the domain was handed over to. the council the sum of £35 was also handed over, to be used for this purpose. It was further agreed to ask the Halswell County Council to improve the entrance to the domain from Hoon Hay road.
