The committee was granted authority to purchase netting for the court. The chairman said that for the purpofse of liquidating the cost of the court, estimated at £3O, a monster bridge rally would be he!in the near future. The headmster said that three teachers had been withdrawn from the staff this term, While only two had been appointed—Misses Butler and Fengelly. In view of the increase in roll numbers this term, it was decided to bring the matter of staffing before the Education Board, the chairman and the treasurer being appointed to lay the committee's claim for an additional teacher before the board. It was stated that 13 new pupils had been enrolled in the infant department, which was now under the control of Miss Andrews. The concert held at the end of last term realised approximately £6, while a successful card party was also recently held at the residence of Mr and Mrs Urquhart, Euston street. The social committee reported that Mr Staples, of the new pavilion tea rooms, had offered his rooms for another card evening, the proceeds of these evenings being used for the improvement of the school grounds. It was reported that the school 'sports would be held on September 30.
