B'TRNHAM RESIDENTS' BALL The attendance at the annual residents' ball held at Burnham was greatly in excess of the number expected and the gathering was in every respect a great success, thanks largely to the excellent arrangements made by the following commiuoe:—Messrs J. H. Williams, E. Coleman, C. J. J. Storrie, W. S. Ballantyne, F. Reid, P. N Erridge, and lan Scott, the joint secretaries being Messrs E. Coleman and C. J. J. Storrie. Thsrc was a strong representation from all the surrounding districts and the camp gymnasium, in which the ball was held, was very prettily decorated with streamers in shades of mauve hgnt blue, and primrose, together with flags and greenery. Music was supplied by Bob Bradford's orchestra. Mises Popple and Lacey and Mr P. N. E - ridge played extras and Messrs Coleman and Erridge were the masters of ceremonies. The winners of a Monte Carlo waltz were Miss J. Milne and Mr R. Chamberlain. A dainty suppei was served upon tables decorated with spring flowers.
