The, decision of the Auckland Transport Board to make the last payment due on debentures h6ld in London without prejudice on the understanding that arrangements be made for a consultation with bondholders has been communicated to London through the New Zealand Government, but no reply has been received. "Payment has not been made in the meantime," said the chairman (Mr J. A. C. Allum) to-day. "Nothing can be done until word comes as to whether our decision is acceptable to bondholders."
