SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Mr and Mrs R. O. Richards (Albury) and Mr J. Fraser (Wai-iti road) have returned from a visit to "The Point," Hororata. Mrs R. H. Hunter-Weston, who has been staying with Mrs Gladstone Robinson (Oakwood), left yesterday to stay with Mrs Simon Mackenzie, Otumarama. Mr and Mrs Ernest Nichol, who were the guests of Mrs H. Bannerman (Sarah street) on their way back from Christchurch, have returned to the Bluff. Miss Wright (Wai-iti road), who has been on a visit to the North Island, returned home on Saturday. Mrs Walter Raymond (Park lane) spent the week-end in Dunedin. Messrs M. Benzoni, J. H. Dun«n, J. Simpson, and R. Peake. Mrs J. W. Smeaton, Miss R. Sargeant, Mrs W. Hudson. Mrs A. Smellie, Miss Z. Hudson. Miss C. Hudson' (Dunedin), Mr and Mrs W. L. Cunningham (Dipton). Mr W. Castle (Melbourne), Mr S. Fitch (Wairnate), Mr W. A. Esson (Auckland), and Mr R. J. ST. FAITH'S MEN'S CLUB. + A debate was held in the St. Faith's Parish Hall, New Brighton, last evening, when Mr D. C. Davie. Christchurch secretary of the Douglas social credit movement, upheld its advantages, and Mr S. Schofield. of the Workers' Educational Association, maintained the advantages of the existing order. The Rev. T. M. Curnow was in the chair. Numerous questions were asked and replied to by both speakers, to whom votes of thanks were proposed by Mr Curnow, on behalf of the club, and Mr W. M. Wilkerson on behalf of the association. ,
