RECHABITE LODGE.
At the fortnightly meeting of the Pride of Christchurch Tent members of the Canterbury Provincial Council were officially welcomed by the Chief Ruler, Bro. W. A. Bascand. Bro. G. Good, Provincial Chief Ruler, replied on behalf of the delegates, and the provincial officers took the chairs for the evening. Four new members were initiated. The election of officers resulted: —Chief ruler, Bro. T. Nuttall; deputy ruler, Bro. A. Wilson; secretary, Bro. C. H. Bascand; treasurer, Bro. F. Robson; past chief ruler, Bro. W. A. Bascand; guardian, Bro. L. Brown; levite, Bro. J. Provan; assistant levite, Sis. M. Anstiss; supporters to chief ruler. Sis. E. Smallwood and Bro. G. Good; supporter to deputy ruler, Bro. S. Holland; auditors, Bros. Calvert and J. Jackson; cash steward, Bro. G. Speirs; assistant secretary, Sis. G. Bunt; pianists, Sisters Pycroft and Mason, and Bro. W. Gray; press reporter, Bro. R. Anstiss; juvenile superintendents —Whakaora, Sis. Smallwood and Bros. J. Wilson and C. Lord; Tawera, Bros. J. Jackson, R. Anstiss, and J. Provan. The social portion of the evening was in the hands of Sis. A. Pycroft, who entertained the members with a variety of new games.
