Mr Arthur Hill, a Brighton man, believes he has discovered the spot where treasure worth millions of pounds lies buried on Cocos Island, and he is planning an expedition to the Pacific to recover it. The treasure is reputed to have been taken to Cocos Island from Lima, the Peruvian capital, and Mr Hill says that he learned the secret of its hiding place from an old text-book which he bought at a second-hand bookstall. "I found a faded chart of Cocos Island in the back of the book, and this indicated the whereabouts of the treasure," Mr Hill said.
