OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIPS. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TEJ.EGKAM.) DUNEDIN, February 3. At the senior swimming championships, E. -UcConville (Canterbury) won the 100 yards in 50sec; K. Nuttall was second. McConville also won. the 440 yards in- smin 35sec, with K. Geddes second. Gcddcs won the 220 yards breast-stroke in 3min 10 3-ssec. G. Low (Canterbury) won the 150 yards back-stroke in lmin 52 4-usce, with P. E. Malheson second.. An Otago record. Hiss If. Mathicxon retained her title in the 300 yards ladies in 71 sec, and subsequently beat Miss Sporlo (Manawatu intermediate girl swimmer) in a special 100 yards invitation race in 70 4 saec. Miss Sporle dead-heated with Miss Mathieson in an invitation 50 yards, in 31 3-ssee. R. Calder, the New Zealand men's champion, made his first appearance in a diving competition this season to regain his Otago title. Miss Footo beat the New Zealand lady champion, Miss Eggers, in the women's diving championship.
