YESTERDAY'S TRANSACTIONS, j Markets continued inactive on call | yesterday, and the recorded turnover was small. Transactions, exclusive of vestibulo business, were;— 100 Bank of New Zealand. 100 Goldsbrough, Mort. 300 New Zealand Refrigerating <los paid). 100 Mount Lycll (cum dir.). 100 Okarito. Buyers of New Zealand Government. 51 per cent. September, 1937, issues raised their bids to £9B 12s 6d, sellers at £99 10s. Bank of New Zealand shares were easier, with business at 40s 9d, and further sellers at that price, buyers at 40s 3d. National Bank of New Zealand shares, cum dividend, were available at £3 Bs, buyers at £3 4s. Union Bank of Australia shares were easier with sellers &t £G 19s, buyers at £C. Miscellaneous. Goldsbrough, Morts recovered to 20s 9d, and there were further sellers at that price, buyers at 20s Bd. New Zealand Refrigerating 10s paid shares changed hands at 3s Id and 3s, market closing 3s buyers, 3s Id sellers. Now Zealand Breweries shares claimed buvers at 24s Bd, but sellers wanted 265". Sellers of Tooth's Brewery shares reduced their limits to 29s 9d, buyers at yesterriny"s business price, 295. British Tobaccos, cum dividend, were easier, with sellers at 27b 9d, buyers at 27s 3d. Buyers of Electrolytic Zinc ordinarv shares raised their bids to 13s 9d, sellers at 14s Bd—-the preference wero available at 24s 6d. buyers at 235. Mount Lvells, cum dividend, recovered to 18s 6d, and there were further buyers at that price, sellers at 18s 9d: j- -, i Blackwater Mines, cum dividend, were easier with sellers at 21s, buyers at 20s 6d. King Solqmons appeared weaker, with sellers at 2s 3d. buyers afc 2s Id Okaritos were a shade easier at 7s lid, closing quotations 2d on either side Nokomais were firm.
