NAPIER'S PROGRESS.

Warm praise of the progress Napier }s making towards complete recovery from the earthquake disaster was expressed by the Chief Justice (the Ut. Hon. Sir Michael Myers), when openiug the Hawke's Bay Adjustment Court at Napier this morning. Expressing the pleasure t'clt by himself and his associates, Messrs L." U. H. Tripp and H. J. von Haast. at the change which had taken place since their last visit, his Honour said: "It is four months since Mr von Haast and I were last in Napier, and six months since Mr Tripp was here, and all are delighted and astonished at tlie progress which has been made in tlie restoration, and not only in the restoration, but also in the beautifving of this fine little town of yours. The improvements which have been made on the waterfront are attractive and delishttui, and the buildings which are being erected would be a credit to anv town m J*ew Zealand."
