A FEW SUGGESTIONS.
TO TUB KDITOn Off TUB MESS. Sir,—l have read with interest the selfish views of our commercial men how to relieve their difficulties at the expense of the many. Well none seems of much value under present conditions. 1 take tho liberty of putting foni ard a. few suggestions which I am sure would help: U) Reduce all salaries of more than &'<QO F»r anmim, ■conuuerci'al and Government, »y liaif. (2) All owners of houses valued at more than £IBOO to pay double rates as their share to help their ei by «r borough. (3) Sack all members o* Parliament and appoint six business men for North and South planus.to manage our affairs, with a Premier appointed through ballot of the people.
