(rat 33 ASSOCIATIOH TXLEOX.Ut.) AUCKLAND, August 12. Clifford Spencer Dahlin, who was found guilty of conspiring to defraud and of false pretences, came up for sentence to-day. In a written statement he made an unusual request to Mr Justice Smith to impose a short term ot imprisonment and corporal punishment instead of a long term.
