FOOT CUT WITH AXE. P. Lukis, a single man living at Waikuku, was admitted to tlie Christchurch Hospital yesterday after cutting his left foot with tin axe. An operation was performed, and his condition is reported to be satisfactory.

HURT WHILE CRANKING CAR. While cranking his motor-car', Dr. W. 11. McKee, of Mcthven, sustained a fracture of the leg.
