VISIT BY GOVERNOR-GENERAL.

His Excellency the Govcrucr-Genoral, Lord Blcdisloc, visited the Canterbury Officers' Club last evening, wlicro an address on the League of Nations was given by Mr A. C. Brassington. His Excellency was accompanied bv Lieutenant J. C. Elworthy, R.N., A.D.C., and Colonel H. C. Hurst, and was received by Mr A. JI. C'avell, the president. In reply, his Excellency expressed pleasure at being able to visit the club. A general discussion followed the address and Lord Bledisloo spoke on various points rai3ed, later joining the members of the club at supper.
