NEW TYPE OF ONE-MAN TRAM.—In order to demonstrate the one-man car proposed under the new traffic scheme of the Christchurch Tramway Board, one of the ordinary trams has been converted at the Board's workshops. It was on view in Cathedral square yesterday afternoon.
A MINIATURE NEW TESTAMENT.—This New Testament is in the possession of Mr Harry Green, of Shirley. A metal Case (left), in which the book is kept, is fitted with a magnifying glass for reading purposes. The thimble on the right gives an idea of the actual size of the book.
