Following the burning of the# liner Bermuda last November, a writ has been served upon Messrs . Workman, dark (1928), Ltd., shipbuilders, of Belfast, by the Bermuda and West .ladles Steamship Co., claiming damages for alleged negligence. The claim is stated to involve about £1,000,000, and the trial of the action will take place shortly in Belfast. The Bermuda, a motor-ship of 18,086 tons, was built is 1927 by Workman, Clark. She was seriously daipaged by fire at Bermuda, and was taken to Belfast for repairs, when a second outbreak occurred while die was lying in dry dock.
