The annual picnic of the combined Presbyterian and Anglican Sunday Schools, Glentunuel, was held on Saturday at the residence of Mr and Mrs James Deans. Momebush. There was a good attendance of children, and a happv time was spent. The Rev. Mr Boyd thanked the host and hostess for the use of their grounds. The crie'eet match, Darfield v. Coalgate, which was postponed Inst Saturday, will he concluded in the Coalgate Domain on Saturday. The following will represent Coalgate: J. McCnugli'in. Charles (2), T. Tailing. T. Music for the dancing was supplied bv Miss Maffev. Mr J. Mitchell was M.C. STYX. Harvest thanksgiving services in connexion with the Styx Presbyterian Church were conducted by the Rev. G. Wood. The church was decorated. On Monday night the offerings were .sold on behalf of the church funds. A concert was also given bv Mrs Hiflier and a party from Christehurch.
