(CONTINUED.) WEDDINGS. COU LTEII—KENNED Y. The wedding of Miss Catherine Kennedy to Mr Henry Coulter, of Gcraldine, was quietly celebrated at Loburii recently. The Rev. Father Leon, assisted by the Jlcv. Father Joyce, cousin of the bride, performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Alex. Kennedy, wore an attractive frock of blush-rose wool georgette, and hat and shoes' to mutch. After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride's home, where Mrs Kennedy entertained near relatives. When Mr and .Mrs Coulter left on their wedding tour, the'bride was wearing a navy fleck ensemble .suit and navy hat. BARNES—MARTIN. At the Temuka Methodist Church tho marriage was celebrated of Sarah Ann Pitcarfan, second daughter of Mr A. A. Martin, Princes street, Temuka, and the late Mrs Martin to Albert John, second son of Mrs Barnes, . of Green Island, Dunedin, and the lato John T. Barnes. The Pev. L. A. Brooks officiated, and.Mrs Brooks presided at the organ. Tho bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an ankle-length gown of ivory crepe de chine, and coatee to match. The frock was made with a simple bodice and tight fitting sleeves, and had a fully-flared skirt. She carried a bouquet of pale pink lilies, white asters, and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Flora Martin fsister of the bride), and Miss Hazel Allfrey. They wore ankle-length frocks of powder blue and pink crepe de chine respectively, and carried bouquets of hothouse flowers to tone. Mr A. Husband'was best man, and Mr T. Woodley was groomsman. At the reception held later in the Methodist Sunday School, the guests
were received by the bride's grandmother. In the oveniug a number of young friends were entertained at a social in the Methodist Hall, when games aiui Mngiug were enjoyed. WEDDING IN LONDON. YOUNGS—PHARAZYN. (from our owv correspondent.) LONDON. February 25. On February loth the wedding took place in London of Lieut. Joseph John Youngs, R.N.R., younger son of the late Mr and Mrs Robert Youngs, of St. Austell, Corn wall, and Joan Brenda Pharazyn, daughter of Mr and Mrs CJ5. Phrazyn, of Nelson. The witnesses were Mr W. C. Pharazyn (brother), of Masterton) ; Mrs M. Pearce Powell (aunt of the bridegroom); Miss K. Le Grande Campbell (.sister of Colonel George Campbell, of Wellington). After the ceremoiiv, there was a luncheon at the Trocadero and the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon tour, going first to Eastbourne and then to Falmouth. Early in March Mr Youngs will leave for New Zealand. Mrs Youngs will rcmin in England until his return in June. The young couple hope then to spend several months in Cornwall prior to leaving in October, via Panama, to settle in the Dominion. YOUNG WOMEN'S CAMP. METHODIST BIBLE CLASSES. Perfect weather prevailed on the West Coast during Easter, when 33 Methodist Bible Class girls were comfortably camped at Paroa. Campers were welcomed on Thursday evening by the chief officer, Miss Eva Quigley, who introduced the camp mother, Mrs A. Hopper, the camp secretary, Miss Lily Hooker, and the president of the Canterbury Y.W.B.C. Union, Miss D. Fairweather, Some of the outstanding features of the camp programme were the Good Friday morning service, when Miss Fairweather was the speaker, and the Easter Sunday morning worship and Communion service addressed "by the Eev. G. E. Brown, of Greymouth. One of the most memorable experiences was the camp fire on Paroa beach on Saturday evening, when community singing, stories, and play-reading were greatly enjoyed. The afternoons .were spent in recreation and in exploring some of the natural beauty spots of the neighbourhood. Each day an hour was given to Bible study in small groups. Evening worship on Sunday was conducted by Mrs Hopper. A challenging address by Miss E. J. Hall was followed by a symbolic service on Monday morning. This made a solemn and fitting conclusion to the camp. TDfARU NEWS. SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Miss Peggy Orbell (Waikouaiti), who is the guest "of Mrs W. H.
