A SLACK YEAR.
BUILDING IN 1931-32. A BIG DECREASE. The building figures for the City of Christchurch for tho year ended March 31st, 1932, show a big decrease as compared with the previous year, being, in fact, less than a third of the total of 1930-31, and not exceeding the monthly returns on any occasion. The value of the fees collected in 1931-32 was £441, as compared with £llOB 15s. Details of the permits issued in March, 1932, are as follows, the previous year's figures being given in parenthese:— Value.
