"VTOTIOE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Lyttelton Borough Council held on Monday, the 14th day of December, 1931, the following resolutions ■were passed by way of "Special Order" : 1. In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 159 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920," the Lyttelton Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order to reduce the rent payable to it by Donald S. Spence, of Mitcham, Farmer, in respect of farm known as Sherwood Reserve under and by virtue of Memorandum of Lease Registered No. 0669, from 10s 8d .per acre to 9s 8d per acre, such reduction to take effect from the 4th day of November, 1931, until the_ 4th day of November. 1932, when the position maj be again reviewed. 2. In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 159 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920," the Lyttelton Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order to reduce the rent payable to it by Messrs Gibba Bros., Darfield, farmers, in respect of farm at Charing Crosß, under and by virtue of Memorandum of Lease Registered No. 7127, from 14s 6d per, acre to 13s per acre, such reduction to take effect from the 20th day of September, 1931, until the 20th day of September, 1932, when the position may be again reviewed. 3. In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 159 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920," the Lyttelton Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order to reduce the rent payable to it by Messrs Barnard Bros., Diamond Harbour, farmers, in respect of grazing rights of land, Diamond Harbour, under and by virtue of Memorandum of Lease No. 2944, from £1 15s Od per acre to £1 10s Od per acre, such reduction to take effect from the Ist day of August, 1931, until the Ist day of August, 1932, when the position may be again reviewed.
