PLAZA THEATRE.
"THE DEVIL TO PAY." Chrislchurch picturegoers evidontly appreciate n really entertaining talkie when thoy are given tho chanco of seeing one, ns is proved by tho extremely successful season of "The Devil to Pay/' at tho Plaza Theatre, whore this United. Artists' iilm began its third week on Saturday evening. "Tho Devil to Pny" 'has all thos» elements that make a film a financial as well as an artistic mutoks — sparkling comedy, clover dialogues, a thoroughly enjoyable plot, likable characters and natural arting. There have been many films before which have contained onft or sevoral of llm.se factors, but it is doubtful if any film has contained them all to such a niarked degree as "Tho Devil to Pay." It is impossible to decide whether Ronald Colman, the i-(at\ is more responsible for tho enjoyable nature of the film' than Frederick Lonfldals, tho author, but it is safe to say that it would nut bo the entertain* mont it is without tlwir combined efforts.
