She left again on .Monday for Napier and Auckland, thence to Greymoutlt to load for Sydney, and' Melbourne. ' ■ _ Tho Kalingo, from Greymouth, is due at I* Wcastle .to-day, thence to Sydney, where will pay off and lay up. • . ' ■ T h e Karetu, from' Newcastle and Sydney, left Suva on Saturday for Auckland, where fche is due to-day. The vessel later returns to Newcastle and Sydney to . load for" Fiji and Auckland. The Kartigi is to leave Melbourne to-day for New Plymouth and Auckland. The Waikouaiti, from Newcastle and Sydney, arrived at . Lyttelton yesterday from Dunedin to discharge and load. She sails etn. Friday for Timaru to complete discharge thence via Dunedin to Sydney and Newcastle! The Wainui, from Melbourne, is 'due at Lyttelton this morning, thence to Wellington, to complete discharge: She -will,"leave Wellington on Friday for Melbourne, via Bluff. • DANISH-BUILT . SHIP FOR AUSTRALIA. Successful trials have been run bv the passenger and cargo -motor-ship Moonta which Messrs Burmeister and Wain, Copenhagen, have had under construction for the Adelaide Steamship Company, Ltd., of- Adelaide. She is ..intended for the owners' service on the Australian coast, and is pro.pelted by a B. and W. Diesel engine developing 2000 i.h.p. 'Her main dimensions are 285 ft! in length by 48ft. 6in in beam, and 2.sft' 3in in depth, and she has accommodatioiv for 340 first-class passengers. The Moonta is the fifth' Diesel-engined passenger vessel to be ordered by Australian owners' from. Messrs Burmeister and Wain. . 'NARBADA LEAVES CALCUTTA. Advice lias been received by the Union Company that the Narbada left Calcutta laßt Wednesday for Penang, Singapore, and Samarang, to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton. Timaru, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is due at Auckland about January 2nd. IONIC COMPLETING. The Shaw-Savill liner lonic reachp.d Auckland on Saturday morning from Napier to complete her Homeward loading. She is to clear tho northern port finally at 5 p.m. next Saturday for Southampton and London, via Panama and Kingston.
