MACHINE BURSTS INTO FLAMES. IVKITED PMM AMOCHWOS—*T BUKTSM TILIGXAIK—COPTIIOHT-) (Received December 6th, 7 p.m.) DETROIT, December 5. Lowell R. Bayles, the speed flyer, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was killed on Saturday, when his aeroplane struck the ground and burst into flames, whilt making an attempt on the world's land aeroplane record. A few days ago Bayles attained 281.9 miles an hour.
