Winds—Moderate to strong southerly winds, decreasing gradually. Seas (New Zealand waters) —Rough north of Farewell Spit and Capo Campbell, but 1 iaior decreasing; elsewhore moderate. 1 Tasman Sea—Fresh but decreasing southorly winds' and rather rough but moderating sdas in the eastern Tasman. Weather—Showery in parts of the eastern and northern distriols of the North Island, but improving gradually, except perhaps in tho East Cape district; elsewhere fair; teiu-I-eratures cold, with Borne night frosts. Auckland—Tho weather was fine yesterday morning, but light rain fell late in the afternoon &nd was followed by an electric storm early in the evening and continuous rain afterwards.
