lIOX. A. D. M'LEOD WILLING TO STAND. [THE FKEBS Spoclnl Service.] WELLINGTON, November 19. in announcing his intention of again sucking nomination as a Reform candidate, the Hon. A. D. McLeod, speaking at a meeting of the Reform organisation at Carterton, said he felt that it was somewhat premature for them to make a final decision in respect of the selected candidate. During his Parliamentary terms he had given of tyis best according to h : s liglits for tho people of the Wairarapa and the Dominion as a whole. His labours, however, had made rather serious inroads upon his health, and he still was under medical directions. He felt that they would be doing him a valuable turn, and a valuable turn to themselves, if they made diligent search for another and younger candidate. If they did that he would have no regrets or heartburnings, and country before personal feelings he hoped would be his watch word. He did not wish to mislead his supporters, and during the next six or nine months he would welcome the coming forward of some Other candidate whom they could with unanimity support. If fit and well in that time he was prepared to take his chances of selection if they thought he was worthy of further support.
